HOW I HELP

Everyday moments are where growth happens.

A difficult morning. Getting out the door. Ending screen time. Sitting together for dinner. Starting homework. Leaving the playground. Getting ready for bed.

These moments can feel small, but they're where children practice communication, attention, flexibility, independence, relationships, and the ability to navigate expectations.

Thriving Roots helps families understand these moments differently—and use them as opportunities to grow together.

What are you experiencing?

Everyday Routines

Mornings become negotiations. Getting dressed takes forever. Mealtimes are difficult. Bedtime keeps stretching later. Leaving the house becomes stressful.

Thriving Roots looks beyond the difficult moment itself. We help identify how attention, communication, expectations, choices, routines, and developmental readiness may be shaping what happens next.

Communication & Behavior

Your child isn't listening. Directions seem to go nowhere. Small requests lead to big reactions. Boundaries constantly get tested.

Before asking how to stop a behavior, we look at what happened first. Did you have your child's attention? Was the expectation understood? Was the next step achievable? Were the boundaries clear and consistent?

Learning & Independence

Your child needs constant reminders. Schoolwork becomes frustrating. Staying focused is difficult. You want them to become more capable without doing everything for them.

Learning happens throughout family life. Following routines, making appropriate choices, solving problems, communicating needs, helping with tasks, and navigating disappointment all build skills children can carry into school and the world around them.

so, where do we begin?

I start by listening to your family’s story—your routines, relationships, concerns, strengths, goals, and the moments you’d like to understand better.

Together, We Listen
We start with your family's story—your routines, relationships, concerns, strengths, goals, and the moments you'd like to understand better.

Together, We Look for Patterns
We explore what happens before, during, and after those moments to understand what may be making things easier or harder for your child and family.
